| Flomax Side Effects | Flomax Precautions Before taking Flomax, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to it or to other alpha-blockers such as alfuzosin, doxazosin or terazosin; or to sulfa drugs; or if you have any other allergies. Before using Flomax, tell your doctor or pharmacist your medical history, especially prostate cancer or blood pressure problems. To avoid dizziness or fainting, get up slowly when you first start taking Flomax or if your doctor changes your dosage. Flomax may make you dizzy or drowsy or cause blurred vision. Use caution while driving, using machinery, or doing any activity that requires alertness or clear vision. Limit alcoholic beverages while taking Flomax. Before surgery, tell your doctor or dentist that you are taking Flomax. Flomax is not recommended for women or children.
